GATORS ANNOUNCE NEW FEE STRUCTURE The Calgary Gators are pleased to announce the Alberta Football Leagues lowest fees: If a player pays their fees on or before May 15, 2009, their fees are $250. If a player pays their fees after May 15, their fees are $350. If a player hasn't paid at least $50 per game up to the $350 amount of season fees, that player will not play. For example, if we are in the third game of the season, every player must pay at least $150 (3 x $50) in order to be able to play. GATORS T-SHIRTS FOR SALE! The following players won awards: Dan Strikaitis, Offensive MVP Leigh Casey, Defensive MVP Will Dunn, Offensive Lineman of the Year Tony Verbrugge, Defensive Lineman of the Year Ian Hewitt, Special Teams Player of the Year Jake Swainson, Rookie of the Year Jefferson Glapski, All-Out Award Congratulations to all Gators for a great 2008 and a better 2009. GATORS MAKE AFL ALL STAR TEAM Gators Ian Hewitt, Devron Brown and Chevy Judd were named as AFL 1st team All-Stars at K, LB and DL respectively. Gators Nick Berry and Leigh Casey were named to the AFL's 2nd team All-Stars at FB and DB. Congratulations! GATORS UPCOMING EVENTS The Gators will be holding a number of events in preparation for the next season and in recognition of the previous one. We will be holding the following events over the next few months: The Gators Annual General Meeting The Gators AGM is where the current board will be ratified and where updates will be given to Gators. You will only be allowed to vote if you have paid your fees in total. Gators Fundraisers The Gators will have fundraisers throughout the offseason, from poker tournaments to golf tournaments. GATORS ANNOUNCE A NEW BOARD The Gators have announced a new executive board, that will be ratified at the next AGM. Your executive board is as follows: Don Nelson, President Teigan Milne, VP Tony Verbrugge, Secretary Jefferson N. Glapski, Treasurer Kyle Heier, Director of Finance The Calgary Gators are also in the process of incorporating as a charitable society under Alberta law.  Once the process has been completed, the Gator Bylaws will be publicized.
