Team president Tom Luzzi announced earlier today that Heisman trophy winner Tim Tebow will play for the Gators this year. Fresh off his record performance Tim looks forward to the challenge of getting the Gators to the National Championship. I am absolutely thrilled that he has decided to play for the Gators. He is just what the Gators need to succeed this year. Good luck to Tim and the rest of the Gators!

On another note, GM Jefferson Glapski announced late last night that the trios of former Calgary Stampeders. Scott Coe, Joey Boese and Mike Juhasz have come to terms with the ball club. Terms of the deals were not announced. We are ecstatic to have these individuals play with us. Joining the trio are Boyd Barrett, Damian Edwards, Frantz Clarkson and Khari Joseph. All of these individuals are exceptional athletes that will compliment a strong Gator team and help them make their push towards the AFL playoffs. "Not only are we excited about these ball players but the following week, 4 more outstanding athletes will be joining our club" says Glapski. Tom Luzzi has been on a mission since taking over the team earlier, and is determined to make that one last push into the playoffs. "What you see from now till the end of the year will be our Gator playoff team" states Luzzi.

Only time will tell. The Gators play host to the red hot Edmonton Stallion ball club this Saturday at McMahon Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:30 PM
