GATORS
TO FACE SEAHAWKS IN EDMONTON
The Calgary Gators face the
Edmonton Seahawks at 11AM on Saturday at Clarke Stadium.
We will be mustering at the Deerfoot Outlet Mall at 5:30AM in order to
depart for Edmonton at 6AM on Saturday morning. If you have alternative
plans, such as leaving on Friday night, let us know.
The Gators bring a 1-2 record into the game, while the Edmonton
Seahawks are winless at 0-3.

GATORS
BEAT BUCCANEERS
The Calgary Gators ended
their slump against the Red Deer Buccaneers on Saturday, winning 27-6.
The Gators young lineup continued to show more improvement, as they
stopped making the mistakes that cost them the past few weeks. Gators
special teams didn't give up any scores as they had in the first week.
The Gators offense didn't turn the ball over, as they had in the second
week. The result was a Gators victory.
The Gators defense continued its excellent play, setting the tone
against Red Deer. QB Kyle Westin got the start for the ailing Dan
Strikaitis, who reappeared to start the second half. Westin left the
game with a 10-0 lead, playing nearly mistake free football.
The Gators offense hit on their first drive of the second half with an
Ian Hewitt FG, leading to a 13-0 score. This was followed by a
Strikaitis to Campbell TD strike that moved the game out of reach.
The Gators added another TD on a Caleb McLeay 83 yard TD on a draw play
and won the game 27-6.

The Gators are now tied in the standings with their arch-rivals, the
Calgary Wolfpack. The Gators travel to Edmonton to play the Seahawks at
11AM on Saturday at Clarke Stadium.
